A group of James Madison University Honors Program students engaged in meaningful service by cleaning Tangier Island’s beach, collecting three truckloads of debris. Simultaneously, Tangier Combined students in Richmond participated in a Model General Assembly, gaining insights into legislative processes. Both experiences highlighted the importance of civic engagement and real-world learning beyond the classroom.
