Eastern Shore Virginia Broadband Authority announced that work may cause broadband outage on Thursday morning, Oct. 2.
On Monday, Sept. 30, the agency’s construction staff placed a new cable section on Main Ridge, between Town Hall and the Post Office to replace the cable that was rubbing through the sheathing on the gift shop toof.
A few splicers will cut out the bad section of cable and splice in the new section during Oct. 2.
Matt Ertle, ESVBA director of network operations, said he will send out a reminder before the work begins.
